"Find Balance and Breathe" speaks to the line we walk constantly as women in this world. We are trying to keep 25 balls in the air at once, and boy howdy if one drops, 10 are sure to follow! Sleep through that second snooze button? They miss the bus and you’re all cranky before 8am. Push off that load of laundry because you’re whipped, and realize in the morning that the only blouse that matches those slacks is at the bottom of that load AND half the family has no clean underwear. Convince yourself that you really do have the time and skill to sew matching Christmas outfits for your toddlers ...only to be calling yourself all kinds of crazy while the house falls down around you. Skip grading their math for 2 months (surely if they weren’t catching on they couldn’t finish their lesson with such confidence every day, right?) and spend the following 2 months reteaching fractions to a very frustrated kid. Makes you want to blow your bangs out of your eyes, crawl back in bed and cry sometimes, doesn’t it?!
If it has never occurred to you what might be important to God, you’re in for a real treat! God’s heart is marvelously large and His plans are wonderful! We need to throw ourselves into learning all we can about the heart of our Lord. When we have more in our heads about God than any.other.thing. then we imitate Him instinctively. God is everything we can imagine. We will never fully understand Him, but He does reveal His heart–what He deeply cares about–in His Word. God is generous. He is unconditional love. He defends the afflicted. God desires that all come to repentance. He is highly committed to His own glory.
God is wisdom, and He is order. Wrapping yourself around His priorities brings the only stability and freedom in the universe. When God’s priorities become our own, we find balance. We breathe.

This 4 week study contains portions of scripture to read, teaching about the topic or scripture, exercises where you will engage with the text in various ways (underline, circle, match answers, rewrite portions, fill in the blank, define a word, etc.), guided prayer, thoughtful questions for application and deeper study.
